TEDx
In 2014, while completing my post-graduate degree in International Development at University of Edinburgh, I won the opportunity to present talk on adolescent girls' empowerment at TEDx.
In my talk, I explored the importance of empowering girls and women—not just across the world, but in our own local communities as well. Drawing on my experiences living and working across four continents, I shared how education, youth engagement, and creative thinking can serve as powerful tools for change. My goal was to inspire others to take action, whether through small, everyday choices or larger, systemic efforts, to create a world where all women and girls can thrive.
A wonderful and unexpected bonus of this experience was meeting my future husband, Nicholas, who hosted the event!
